Fringe benefits tax (FBT) is a tax paid by employers on certain benefits provided to their employees, or to their employees’ family or other associates.

FBT is separate to income tax. It's calculated on the taxable value of the fringe benefit.

As an employer, you must self-assess your FBT liability for the FBT year (1 April to 31 March). If you have an FBT liability, you must lodge an FBT return and pay the FBT you owe.

Fringe Benefits Tax Assessment Act 1986 establishes the rules for assessing and collecting the tax. The Act is quite separate from the income tax assessment Acts. Fringe Benefits Tax Act 1986 imposes tax on the taxable value of fringe benefits.

We offer two types of memberships.
       1. A free membership with limited access
       2. A premium membership with Unlimited access

A premium membership is an annual membership, with a fee of $49 including GST. We think it is very good value at less than $1 per week!

No. The membership is on a per person basis. So please keep your Login and Password safe. It is an honesty system. If you do share your membership Login and Password, we probably won’t know, but honesty is always the best policy.

Yes you can. We encourage members and non-members to send us suggestions and feedback. We will happily consider all suggestions on adding new content, whether relating to Learning, Knowledge or Tools.

A membership to Only FBT is not intended to replace your other subscriptions. We feel that a membership to Only FBT, given it’s specialist focus FBT & Salary Packaging, will complement your other membership/s.
